Hi Dory,
I was so sorry to hear about Dom at the end of last week and we send out our heartfelt condolences to you. Dom was indeed a gentle giant but also a great rugby player and I had the pleasure of playing in the same team as Dom at RHS for a couple of years. I also feel humbled that we managed to stay in touch for the years after RHS as many others have as well.
Dom loved life and achieved a lot! I remember him telling me he went to Hong Kong for a weekend party one year, no doubt to use some of his air miles!
The picture attached is when he was visiting friends in Cape Town and we all had a great time having a braai and beers before going in to Newlands stadium to watch The Stormers play. I am sure he is assuming a similar pose in that great bar in the sky!
