Rugby - our common bond!

Created by Lisa 8 years ago
I first met Dom when I started working for Tubedale Communications back in 1995. He was one of a comedy double known as Stu & Dom (or as Dom and I affectionately nicknamed Stu - The Blouse).

We instantly became friends as he knew that I was the girl that would be paying his expenses!!

Our mutual love of rugby - albeit for 2 completely different countries - led to many lively debates and Dom invited me to Twickenham to watch Eng vs. NZ. We had a fantastic day full of laughs and beer, and much to Dom's amusement the banter between myself and the England supporters who took every opportunity to tell me to sit down. Bit difficult considering Jonah Lomu kept running through the English defence (something which I reminded Dom of at every opportunity).

We had a fun few years working together, the Christmas parties were legendary and I can honestly say that I made a friend for life. Despite not seeing him very often, Facebook was our link and we often chatted about what he was up to next - which knowing Dom was always something exciting and quite often challenging.

He was one of life's true gentlemen, and I will always remember him as a big, happy, generous and wonderful friend.

Rest now.
With Lots of love
