Shortly after Dom arrived in Coventry he was cajoled into playing in a 7 a side rugby tournament over at Sutton Coldfield ( we did quite well but got knocked out in the semi-final by the hosts ) . As was the norm in those days there was an entry fee which was refunded when you turned up . It was decided to divide this £25 between the 10 players you could get a couple of pints for £2.50 in those days !! ... as we were heading to the bar Dom decided he didn't want his share in beer but in mars bars instead and much to the amazement of his team mates proceeded to eat all 8 in about 5 minutes, it was an early insight for us of the most hearty appetite many of us ever saw !!! ... Sadly missed and greatly loved , peace at last R I P ... Phil Gaffney
